Wednesday Aug 11 Drove to the Springfield store to day took T.P.H. with me. Went up over the College Highway. Bad detour at Avon stoped at Southwick to see our customer Balch Brothers and at Westfield to see the Bryan Hardware Co., then on to Springfield. Had lunch at the Hotel Kimball. Our new Manager Mr Shaffer seems to be taking hold of things very nicely. Picked up a crate of blueberries from Balch Bros for Harley and took them down to him when we arrived in New Haven. Had supper at The House of Hasselbach in New Haven. Sarah over on Long Island Visiting Dorothy Evans Wood.
