Friday Aug 13 Sarah came home today from Long Island where she had been visiting Dorothy Evans Woods. I met her at the station with the Packard. on account Mother is sick with a bad sore throat - We do not think there is any connection between the Guilford epidemic and her illness nor do we attribute it to Friday the thirteenth, but any how she has a bad throat and feels pretty poorly. Heavy thunder showers again tonight, the rain is most welcome and we hope the water shortage will soon be a thing of the past.
