Saturday Aug 14 Harley and family left for their vacation, will spend it at Winchendon Mass on the Lake. T.P.H. not much better this morning so we had Doctor Jack come out and see her. He prescribed for her, ordered her to remain in bed for a few days and promised that she would soon feel better if she behaved herself. We are so relieved that it is nothing more serious. We closed at one o'clock again today. I spent the afternoon at home with T.P.H. and Sally. Sally is head house keeper, head cook, head nurse, and head boss and is fitting in to all positions splendedly. Bless her heart. It is Father and Mother Peck's sixty first wedding anniversary and they are pretty well too. Its a good long time to have lived together. I know my wife would not want to live with me that long.
