Wednesday Aug 18 Arose in Boston this morning at the Hotel Brunswick. Had breakfast there and caught the Eight o'clock train, "The Colonie" for home. Had luncheon on the and arrived at about one P.M. Busy at the store all afternoon. Saw Violette, and made plans to go down to Grace Bills funeral tomorrow night. Home to dinner tonight found T.P.H. up and dressed. She is much better but very week. Sally is still the cook, but is fast losing ground as house-keeper, as her mother gets around. Wrote to Harley tonight he is away. on his vacation up at Lake Monomonac, East River N.H.
