Saturday Aug 21 Cold as fall this morning. Did not look to see how low the thermometer went. Closed the store at one o'clock. Came home for lunch. T.P.H. and I drove down to Norwalk to visit Alice and Fred Lockwood. Sarah had been down there since last Thursday night. It was a fine drive down, had dinner down there, then Fred Sally and I went to the movies.
