Meeting at Chamber of Commerce Hall at 4 P.M. of Committee to make arrangements to entertainment delegation from Harrisburg Penns who will visit New Haven September 12th. Home to dinner. Sarah came today from Camp Arden Brattleboro Vermont. Mrs. Glaenzer and Doris stopped on their way to New York and spent the night with us. T.P.H., Sally and I went to see The Jittney Players perform, on the grounds of the Nathan Hale Inn, Whitney Ave. Otto Vierkoeten of Germany swam the English Channel today in 12 hours and 40 minutes, breaking all previous records, he is the third to cross this this Summer.
