Friday Dec 3 To Springfield store. Went up and came back on the train. The new station at Springfield is nearly finished, will be a big improvement. Met Mr. Lamb of the Springfield Wall Paper Co. in conference over ethics in Springfield. Church School Council of Calvary Church met at Miss Estilla Pratt's 101 Lake Place tonight. Had supper there and held the meeting right after. We were much surprised when we came out to find the ground covered with snow. About two inches fell. It is the first storm of the season. The jury in the famous Hall- Mills murder trial brought in a verdict of not guilty, freeing the defendents. Mrs Hall (the widow) and her two brothers Willie and Henry Stevens.
