Mayor Tower signed the order, voted by the Board of Alderman, for the extension of Grove Street through to Broadway, also for the turning over of Library St. to Yale University in part. Payment for land needed for the Grove street extension. The city paid to Yale - $350,000.00 and Library Street (valued at $100,000.00) for Grove Street land.
