Sunday Dec 26 Hard snow storm after a night of sleet and rain. Drove in to Calvary Church to Church and School. Not a large attendance on account of the weather. Home to dinner and looked at Christmas Cards. We had about 250 of them from friends far and near. In to Calvary Church tonight to the Ordination service of Mr. Frances C. Wheaton, our assistant Pastor. I had a small part in the program welcoming him to Christian Service. The Powell Building, the second National Bank Building, and the Chamber of Commerce Buildings all facing the green so arranged their lights in the windows so as to form a cross. I was most impressed and was a fine thing for the business interests of the city to pay its respects to the Man of Nazareth.
