Monday Feb 22 Washington's Birthday. We closed the Chapel Street store all day. York Street kept open till one o'clock I worked at York Street till noon. Went out to Whitney Ave to see the first shovelful of earth turned up on the sight of the new Masonic Temple. Very cold all day. Cleaned up the Cellar and hung pictures in the living room. Alumni Day at Yale.
