Saturday Jan 16 Went again to Doctor Sweets for treatment for my knee. He says that it is coming along nicely for which I am truly thankful. Received a letter from Alice Drew Lockwood who is in Los Angeles for the Winter with her husband, with best wishes for my fiftieth Birthday (Monday January 18th) also some money to provide a birthday gift for me. Bless her dear heart, for both letter and gift.
