Monday July 26 A beautiful Summer day. Cool and clear as a bell. Arose early and arrived at the store at seven oclock Daylight Saving Time. Busy all day. Lunch at Quinnipiac Club. To Grerrnons Barber Shop in Liberty Building for Hair cut. Sarah called for me at six P.M. We drove home for dinner. Worked in the yard on shrubbery. Ted and Mrs Sucher and daughter called for a short call. The government of Mexico issued a decree forcing all Roman Catholics to leave the Country. Much feeling over the issue.
