Friday July 30 At Newfane Vermont. Breakfast at the Newfane Inn then drove down to Camp Arden near Brattleboro Vt. Came back to Newfane then on to Townshend Bellows Falls. White River Junction Luncheon at Ascutneyville then on to Wells River Vermont and on over to Woodsville NH to our friends the Grants. Had dinner with Alfred Grant and his charming grandmother Mrs Watts. We spent the evening with them then came back over to Wells River to Hales Tavern and registered for our rooms. It has been a very wonderful trip here through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley. The Green Mountain State is certainly a friendly country for the visiter. Drove 125 Miles today.
