Saturday June 5 Sarah attended the funeral of Katherine Bishop Sherman who died at her new home in Battle Creek this week. She was married only last October, Sarah being one of the Brides maids. Their former ushers were to day her pall-bearers and the two ministers who married them had the funeral service. It is all so sad. Sarah feels very badly about it. T.P.H. Sarah and I went into town to participate in the Silver Wedding party of Bertha and Truman Beckley. Sarah read a one act play.
