Monday June 14 In Philadelphia as recorded yesterday. Very very hot 93° in shade. Mouster Parade and dedication of Stadium at Sesqi - Centennial grounds. The Parade was formed by placing each state forces in the order in which the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Governor and his staff was at the head of each State delegation. The distance covered in the parade varies according to different mens estimation anywhere from four to eight miles. We were told that the actual distance covered was about fifty miles, but on account of the heat it seemed much greater. Our Small party (staff) had dinner at the Belleview-Stratford Hotel, then went to theatre afterwards to the "Picadilly", a cabaret restaurant for some supper.
