Lunched at Quinnipiac Club Over to Fair Haven to act as bearer at the funeral of Lereno B. Hopkins one of our Civil War Grays. Buried in the Fair Haven Cemetary from Parlors of Camerlin and Reese only six veterans remain of old Company A - 27th Connecticut Volunteers, the New Haven Grays Company. Mr. Hopkins was nearly eighty four years old. Sarah came up home from New York tonight and brought Marion Gleanzer with her for the week end. There is talk in New Haven today of the building of a new hotel her on the block of Congress Avenue - Meadow St. to Commerce Street. It would be a good thing we need it badly.
