Saturday May 29 Still very cold again today. Quite busy selling off our Art Department at the Chapel Street Store. Feel quite as if I were selling off my children when I see some of the pictures being sold not to be replaced. Sally and Doris and Marion Glaenzer left this morning to drive to Wellesley to the Pine Manor reunion. They went in the Glaenizers car an old one. We received a telegram from Sarah tonight that they had reached their destination safely. The message said "Puncture in Springfield, rain on Palmers out of gas in Worcester arrived Wellesley all happy". Home tonight just Mother and I. Both pretty tired. Jess Sweetzer won the English Golf Championshp today in England he is the first Native born American to ever win this honor.
