Monday May 31 We are celebrating Decoration Day to day instead of yesterday. Stores closed all day. I went in to Chapel Street store to put our flag out but it came on to rain so hard I took it in. It rained hard all day long the marchers in the parade were very wet. A new feature of the parade was a large part of the Police Department and the girls from the Anderson Gymnasium who paraded in their gym suits. Sarah spending the holiday at Wellesley, it being reunion days at Pine Manor School. T.P.H. and I at home alone all afternoon. She not feeling very well, hard cold and upset stomach.
