Sunday Oct 3 A beautiful Autumn Sunday. Clear and warm. T.P.H. went in to St. Pauls Church. I went in to Calvary to Church and School. Mr Camp had an Installation Service for all Boards and Committees. It was a fine service but very long. We did not get started in Church School till 12-35. Very late. T.P.H. and I had dinner at the "Prattonia" on Lake Place, then drove out to Violettes new house on Lake Whitney. The paper hangers are all finished and it looks lovely. We are all so happy that she is to have so fine a home. Second World Series game played in New York -63000 in attendance. St. Louis Nationals won from New York Americans 6 to 2.
