Friday Oct 8 T.P.H. and I attended the wedding of Miss Dorothy Memmott and Mr Fred Gordon. The Ceremony was held at the home of her brother #16 Smith St. West Haven. Miss Memmott was in our office for more than eight years and we miss her very much. Attended dinner at 6-30 given by Captain Charles E Rounds at the Beaver Hills Club. Commemorating the passing of fifty years since he was appointed First Sergeant in the New Haven Grays. It was a wonderful dinner and there were present 27 past First Sergeants. Sarah came up from New York tonight and brought Carol Maurer with her for over night. Sarah will have to go back tomorrow on the five P.M. train. We started a fire in our furnace for the first time to day as it is quite cold.
