Sunday Oct 17 Rained hard this morning. Went in to Church and Church School. Goodly attendance for a rainy day. T.P.H. went in to St. Pauls. Saw Nat Noble there with some of his boys from Hope Farm Millbrook New York. She brought them out to dinner and we stretched our dinner planned for two to feed eight. I think they all had enough. I took them in to the New Haven station to take the bus to Danbury, where the school people would meet them. Jach and Elizabeth Dyer called this afternoon. The New York and New Haven sports writers all gave great praise to our friend Larry Noble for his fine playing on the Yale Team yesterday. He surely played a whale of a game.
