Wednesday Oct 20 Drove to Springfield store. T.P.H. went with me. It rained hard all day and was very cold. Vermont had quite a fall of snow. We had lunch at the Hotel Kimball. On the way home we stopped at the Newells and Mrs Newell and Muriel served tea. A long, hard, wet, cold drive home which we were glad to reach safely.
