Brown 7 - Yale 0 Saturday Oct 23 This is the day of the Brown-Yale football game and the day that we have the Hanburys down for dinner. Mr. Hanbury was the only one that could come. Alfred could not get away from his business and Mabel could not leave the children on account of hard colds. We had luncheon at "Glendean". Sarah was able to come up, so we four went out to the game together. It was a sorry game as far as Yale was concerned but a glorious one for Brown. Brown won 7 to 0. This was the first time Brown has won from Yale in ten years and they were very happy over it. Yale was in exact reverse condition from last week when she won from Dartmouth, a supposedly stronger team. Mr Hanbury left for home after the game and we went out to the Edgewood Club to supper.
