Saturday Sept 4 A beautiful clear day today but not much warmer. Held meeting for all outside salesmen this morning in our new assembly room on the third floor. Robert Shaffer and Harry Fitch of Springfield store came down to attend it. We closed at noon. Spent the afternoon at home working on coal bin in cellar. Sarah went in to station to meet Norbert Mc Tighe of New York who is here to spend week end.
