Thursday Sept 9 A very beautiful day. Clear and cool. George Dennett is here to show us the new Birge line of Wall Papers. Had lunch with him at the Hotel Taft. Measured the distance from the Grove Street Cemetery gate to the Evergreen Cemetery gate, in order to learn the shortest route for the Grays to march on Sunday for their dedication and memorial observance. The York, Elm, Shermon Ave route is 19/10 miles. The York Chapel and Sherman route is 17/10 miles. The York-Chapel-Howe and Sylvan Ave routes is 14/10 miles. Trustees meeting at Calvary Baptist Church tonight, preceeded by a supper meeting lasted till eleven o'clock. Mr Camp came in and introduced Mr Wheaton, who has just arrived to be our Assistant Pastor.
