Saturday Sept 11 Beautiful fall day. Clear and cool We closed again today at one o'clock in agreement with the New Haven Wall Paper Co and Richard Thibrant Co will start keeping open Saturdays October 2nd. I worked all the afternoon writing up the Wall Paper orders. Home to dinner. Sarah and Theodora Perry (her guest) drove over to East River for a swim. John G. Tilson was again nominated for congress from this District for the tenth time. He has been elected eight terms consecutively.
