Monday Sept 13
Worked till noon - then reported at Armory to go with the New Haven Grays to Champs Farm Bridgeport to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the Company. It has been a very beautiful day. Weatherwise and other wise. About 125 Veterans and Actives went down in the automobiles of the members. An arrival at the grounds the baseball game between the Veterans and Actives was played resulting in a tie score 10 to 10 and securing for the Umpire Doc Smiley three dollars and twenty five cents in bribes. Other sports and games were enjoyed till dinner was announced at six thirty. Just before this announcement however, the First Sergeants Association held their meeting. The dinner was one of the best we have had in years and brought much credit to both Committee and Landlord. Some of the speakers were Major Ballmann, Capt. O.E. Rounds, Capt Gessoner, Col Tracy Warren and Capt White of the US Army.
