Wednesday Sept 22 Another fine day. Mr Chamberlain and I working on selections for our special book. Home tonight. Painted some chairs for Sarah to take to New York for her apartment. She expects to leave tomorrow. Violette telephoned tonight. she is expecting word from Ruth any minute that she has landed in New York. She and her husband are on their way home from Bahia, South America, where Howard has been stationed as United States Consul. We surely shall be glad to have them at home again.
