Saturday Sept 25 We closed the store at one o'clock today for the last time, for awhile at least. I came home to lunch then drove the car while T.P.H. and Sarah attended the wedding as St Pauls Church (Cor Chapel and Olive Streets) and the reception at the home (Edwards Street) of Agusta English and John Alling. In the Evening we all attended the dance at the Spring Glen Club, as it was a costume party. T.P.H. and I wore white overalls painted to read, "Save the Surface and you save all". Sarah went dressed in gingham rombers. Terrific thunder shower following a record day of heat for late September. Nat Noble went to the party with Sally and stayed here with us all night.
