Wednesday Sept 29 At Hotel Aspinwall Lennox, Mass attending Conclave of Rotary Club of 30th District. Took us to Pittsfield this morning to the Plant of the General Electric Co, saw the man made lightening. Saw them produce a million volts and make a spark jump nine feet. Back to lunch at the Aspinwall, then down to Great Barrington to the Fair and Cattle Show. Had a good time. Dinner at the Conclave in Charge of the New Haven Club. It was a fine meeting. Good singing led by Don North. Jim Shalvoy at the piano. The speakers were Edgar Heermance, Murray Sargent, and Don Adams. They spoke on the six objects of Rotary.
