Thursday, April 7, 1927 Thirty years ago today we became engaged. I sent T.P.H. some roses and a card enscribed. Just thirty years ago tonight, you whispered to me "yes". Had I the chance to choose again, I'd ask the same dear Tess. That day thirty years ago was the forerunner of many happy days. Jane Ankenny of Pine Manor school came tonight to spend a few days with us. We took her with us down to Marion and Clarence Tiffany's to dinner. We had a lovely dinner and Marion served it so beautifully. She has a very lovely home.
