Wednesday, April 13, 1927 Made the Shore Line trip with Ray Hall. Stopped at Branford Guilford, Westbrook, Ivoryton, Essex, Centerbrook, Chester, Deep River, and way stations. Met many customers I had not known before. Had lunch in Essex. Home and attended a Lenten Service at Calvary Baptist Church. Our paster, Harold Camp, has arranged services for four nights this week. Dr. Lackey, pastor of the Central Baptist Church of Hartford, preached tonight. We had a fine service. T.P.H. went in to New Haven Station 1-20 A.M. to meet Sarah and K.K. Warner who are to be with us over night. --- (There is an [attached letter](<Letter from Amos Wilder to Vernon, 1927.md>) from Amos Wilder to Vernon praising him for his decision day speech at church.)
