Saturday, April 23, 1927 Quite busy at the store all day. I worked till 5-30. Home tonight. Had to relight our furnace fire this morning on account of the big drop in temperature. The big lot next to us has been sold and they are starting to dig for a cellar. The heavy rain of last night and Thursday night filled the excavation full of water. We are putting our clocks ahead one hour tonight as Daylight Saving Time begins tomorrow morning.
