This is the one hundred and fifty second anniversary of the marching of the Foot Guards to Lexington in 1775. I attend the luncheon at the Garde Hotel. The church service at Center Church on the green and the parade this afternoon and the dinner tonight in the ball room of the Hotel Taft. Besides speeches by Governor Trumbull, Mayor Tower, and others, moving pictures were shown of the recent trip to Paris of the First and Second Companies of Governors Foot Guard, the Putnam Phalanx and the Richmond Blues. Later I attended my first meeting of the Board of Governors of the Quinnipiac Club as a member of the board.
