Tuesday, August 2, 1927 It has finally cleared off and we are mighty glad to see the sun. We had Rotary Club luncheon at the Hotel Taft then lift at once for Harry Brown's farm at Southbury, Connecticut for the Rotary Club's annual outing. I rode out with Clayton and Richmond Curtiss. We played baseball, pitched quorts, and horse shoes, and played volley ball. We had supper in the orchard and steak, corn, milk, ice cream, etc etc afterwards. Edgar Heermance told us about the Rotary Convention in Ostead, Belgium. Don North presented Nellie Brown with a big box of candy and Harry with a box of cigars. We had a fine time.
