Attended the criminal session of the city court. One of our men, Eddie MacBride, was bound over to the superior court for trial for burglary. Judge A.W. Chambers is defending him and he as well as ourselves believe him innocent. Harley, Alice, T.P.H., and I drove up to the Seguin Golf Club, Newington for our annual dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Pratt, our friends in Hartford. We visited with them then had a splendid chicken dinner. Then took them home to Hartford and came home ourselves. They are such charming people that it is a joy to be with them.
