Tuesday, August 23, 1927 Rotary Club made a pilgrimage out to North Branford as the guests of the New Haven Water Co. and the C.W. Blakeslee + Sons Co. to look over the gigantic new reservoir being built there and though it rained hard all day, a very good crowd went out. We were served our luncheon under a shed and had a mighty good lunch too, consisting of chicken salad, potato salad, cold ham, cold roast beef, pickles, biscuits, and butter, coffee, ice cream cake, and cigars. We were then taken over the works and it was most interesting. This reservoir is to provide New Haven with an ample supply of water for many years to come.
