Thursday, December 1, 1927 Drove to Springfield store. Took T.P.H. and Miss Radcliffe with me. We had lunch at the Hotel Kimball. Miss Radcliffe went up to work with our new bookkeeper Miss Aluo. T.P.H. called on Mrs. Newell and Mrs. Hitchcock. Drove back home. Quite cold tonight although it has been a beautiful day, clear as a bell. Henry Ford is announcing his new Model A automobile tonight. It has caused unusual interest. He discontinued the making of the old car Model T about six months ago. Since then, the whole country has been waiting for this new car. The prices are no more than for the old one. Range from $385.00 to $590.00. he made 15,000,000 of the old type and expects to make as many of this new Model A.
