Drove in this morning without chains on the car. The snow and sleet was quite deep. Glad to put the chains on when we got in town. Mr. Matlack and his men were here today for our Convention of Painters and Paint Store Dealers. We had the painters in tonight. Fifty two of them besides six from the Wetherill factory and ten of our own men. Had a smoker talks on paints and varnishes and advertising then served sandwiches, doughnuts, and coffee. We thought it a pretty good meeting. We held the gathering on the third floor of our own building.
