Thursday, December 15, 1927 Another fine day, clear and warm. Met T.P.H. down town and we started our Christmas shopping. Shopped from 9-30 till 11, got a good deal done as there were very few people in the stores so early. Luncheon at Quinnipiac Club with Walter Downes, Dr. Petty, and Mr. Crawford. Committee on New Haven Council of Churches Finance Committee. Home tonight. Sarah too. Her classes at the Yale Drama School closed today for the Christmas recess. We are all addressing Christmas cards. The whole world is still rejoicing over the safe arrival of Lindbergh in Mexico City.
