Clear and mild. Ideal Winter weather. All busy shopping for Christmas. Old Packard car went on a rampage on the way into town this morning. Some bearings broke in the rear end and stopped things up. Curtiss and Pierponts men came today and put a thermostat on our furnace to control the heat. William Edward Hickman, murderer of twelve year old Marion Parker, was captured at Pendleton, Oregon while fleeing to Canada.
