Monday, February 7, 1927 Beautiful day. Warm and clear. Sun soon thawed out the snow and ice of yesterday. Went up to the exposition building to take out our displays, looking rather forlorn after the glitter of a few days ago. Luncheon with New Haven Council of Churches Executive Board at Hotel Bishop. Rev. Dr. Petty presided. A huge piece of the coping fell from the new post office building today and killed one man and badly injured another.
