Monday, February 14, 1927 Valentines Day. Received a very beautiful one from wife and daughter. Lunch at the Quinnipiac Club. Home early to dinner then T.P.H. and I went in to Woolsey Hall to hear concert by Miss Mary Lewis Young, American from Metropolitan Opera Company. She has a most beautiful soprano voice. We enjoyed the music very much. Rain and sleet and snow clearing tonight with a wonderful moon that makes Spring Glen look like fair land.
