Tuesday, February 22, 1927 Washington's birthday. We closed the stores all day today. Went in town to Hotel Taft to Rotary Club meeting. Don Adams spoke on Rotary's birthday and then Richard Clapp (Rev Clapp), Pastor of United Church, gave us a fine talk on George Washington. Came out home directly after lunch. Mrs. Warren and Katherine here till leaving for early afternoon train for New York. Sarah and T.P.H. took them in to station. Sally and I took a walk around Spring Glen. All went to the new arena, corner of Orange and Grove Streets to the Yale-Princeton hockey game. Yale won 8 to 3. Larry Noble, captain of the Yale team and a wonderful player, as well as a wonderful chap.
