Thursday, February 24, 1927 To Springfield store today. Went on to Chickopee and Holyoke with Mr. Shaffer. Back on 4-08 train out of Springfield. Went directly over to Mother and Father Peck's on East Pearl Street. It was father birthday yesterday. He was 86 years old. And it will be mother's birthday Friday and she will be 83 years old. T.P.H. cooked a complete chicken dinner, birthday cake, and all and took it over there and we all had the celebration together. Aunt Belle and Herbert Peck were there as well as us four.
