Friday, January 14, 1927 Went up to Winchester Buildings today to the building set aside for the New Haven Progress Exposition. We are to have five spaces to display Paint and Wall Papers. Met T.P.H. and Sarah at 5-43 train from New York. Went up to the new Roget Sherman Restaurant to dinner then over to the Shubert Theatre to the moving picture Ben Hur. It was very wonderful. Followed the book quite closely. The evening was a sort of a family celebration of Sally's first real chance and of her very great success in playing it.
