Monday, January 24, 1927 Harley's birthday today. 53 years old. Worked all day up at the Progress Exposition building getting our display ready. Tonight at the Exposition Building by the courtesy of the Southern New England Telephone Co., the members of the Rotary Club were privileged to witness and hear the first demonstration of the vitaphone (talking movies). It was a remarkable experience to see the moving pictures in their regular form and the same time hear the characters talk and play and sing. It was just wonderful. Mrs. J. Harold Saw died today.
