Left for New York this morning on the Bankers Express to attend the annual showing of the new wall paper lines. It was very hot and stickey all day long. Registered at the Hotel Commodore, where the lines will be shown. Busy all day long with meetings of the National Wall Paper Wholesalers Association. Meetings morning and afternoon with a dinner in the evening with the manufacturers as our guests. At the meeting, I was appointed chairman of the resolutions committee and later brought in resolutions on the death of Mr. Francis E. Higgins and Mr. R.C. Dancer. Harley came down to New York in time for the dinner. George Hanbury of the Robert Hobbs Co. was not able to be present on account of illness. We all missed him sorely.
