Thursday, July 21, 1927 In New York at Wall Paper Convention (see pages 199-200-201). This has been a busy day. We looked at the following lines this morning - the Baeck W.P. Co. (Muralia), Robert Griffin Co., Gilbert Wall Paper Co., and this afternoon The Great Lakes Wall Paper Co., the Robert F. Hobbs Co., the Dupont Peoples New Wall Fabric, and saw Walcott Bros. about our covers. George Hanbury did not show us the Hobbs line as he is away on account of illness. This is the first year that he has not been here and we missed him. Chamberlain Shaffer and I had dinner down at Lorber's and then went up to the Boothe Theatre and saw "Saturdays Children". It has been much cooler today. All New York is excited over the Dempsey-Sharkey prize fight, which was fought in New York tonight at the Yankee Stadium. Dempsey won in the seventh round.
