We will finish our work in New York today. The weather is very fine today, not too hot. Looked at the York Wall Paper Co.'s line, Stanford Wall Paper Co., and called on Mr. Hunken this morning. Saw the Sanites people and then went over the special papers of Becker Smith and Page, placing orders for eight patterns. Mr. Shaffer and Mr. Chamberlain started home this afternoon and I did some shopping, packed up, and came home on the six o'clock D.S.T. train out of New York. Had dinner on the train. T.P.H. met me with the Packard and we came right out to "Glendean" and "believe you me" I was glad to get back to green fields and laughing brooks after a whole week in New York. Home and wife looked pretty good to me.
